Christmas day was lovely. Not much to say about it, so here’s some pictures (though I will say that having a BBQ on Christmas day was pretty weird!) – Wellington We spent a fair bit of time indoors here – its called windy Wellington for a reason! We went to the Te Papa museum which had a Gallipoli memorial section. They had these large sculptures of some people who had fought there which were done by Weta Workshop – the same people who…

So travelling from Hanoi to Bangkok was interesting. We took a taxi, a bus, a plane, a train, a boat, a tuktuk, and with plenty of walking meant we took 7 forms of transport in one day! T+8: Thai Time

First of all, please accept our apologies for the appalling grammar in the previous blog. We were both pretty exhausted. Pai After a few days in Chiang Mai (blog to come later) a number of people had recommended we took a trip to ‘Pai‘. On our way over we once again experienced something that I’m calling ‘Thai Time’ – which is that whatever amount of time someone says something will take, its a guarantee it will take at no less that that time, but…

Bangkok Bangkok – the City of Angels. Bangkok has a reputation to be either loved or hated, many travellers hate it when they arrive, but once they’ve left and explored more of Thailand they appreciate its unique view. Duncan and I were happy we had only booked two days – but I’m sure we will appreciate it after a few more stops.   After a 14 hour flight Duncan and I arrived in Bangkok and decided to visit the famous…
